Are you seeking a dentist who offers same-day emergency dental care in Encinitas, California? When your teeth or gums get injured, are facing serious infection, or are in any way in critical condition, you should reach out to All Smiles Dental Studio immediately for a same-day appointment. When facing a dental emergency, the speed at which you are able to receive treatment could be the difference between saving or losing a tooth. Dr. Ali Shahrokh understands dental emergencies can be stressful enough without worrying about receiving prompt care, which is why he offers effective emergency dentistry to his patients. Every effort will be made to see you on the same day you call in, and we will advise you on how to handle your situation until Dr. Shahrokh can see you.

What Situations Constitute a Dental Emergency?

No emergency is too small or large for us to handle, so if you consider coming in for even the most minor emergency, please do not hesitate to call. Some of the most common emergencies we see are:

  • Intense Pain, infections, and abscesses
  • Loose or lost restorations (crowns, bridge, fillings, veneers)
  • Cracked, chipped, or fractured teeth
  • Loose or knocked-out teeth

Tips For Common Emergencies

A crown or filling which has come off or loosened: While it is unlikely that we will be able to reuse the restoration, please try to save it if possible and do not attempt to reattach the restoration using glue or any other form of adhesive.

Broken or lost tooth: If you have a tooth that has been broken, knocked loose, or knocked out, please contact our office as soon as possible. If you are able to retrieve the tooth, gently handle it by the crown (avoid touching the root if possible). Do not rinse the affected tooth and avoid scrubbing the tooth. You may place the tooth in a small vessel of milk or saliva. Bring it in for your appointment, and Dr. Shahrokh will attempt to save the tooth.

Intense Dental Pain: One of the most common dental emergencies we receive calls for. We recommend gently brushing and flossing on and around the tooth to see if any trapped food particles may be causing the pain. You can also rinse with a warm, diluted salt water solution.
